Privacy at a glance
A short, plain-English summary of how we handle your data. The full legal policy is below.
1. Adults only, US-directed
CogMyra is intended for adults age 18 and older preparing for the Praxis Core Math 5733 test. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. The service is directed at learners in the United States and is not targeted at residents of the European Union or other regions with comprehensive data-protection regimes.
2. What we collect and why
We collect what is needed to triage your situation, deliver the Sprint, and improve the product. This includes information you give us in the Triage form, information from your Stripe checkout, your inputs and our responses during Sprint coaching, and basic technical information about your session.
We collect signals about how you are feeling and learning when you share them in form responses (for example, confidence and anxiety levels). We use these to adjust the coaching tone and pacing, not for advertising.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it to advertise to you.
3. Who we share data with
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate the platform: Supabase (database), Cloudflare (hosting and email routing), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI inference for coaching), and Resend (transactional email). We share only what is needed for each provider to do its job.
Your coaching inputs are processed by Anthropic’s commercial API. Per Anthropic’s commercial terms, your inputs and outputs are not used to train AI models.
4. How long we keep data
We keep data only as long as it is useful or required.
- Triage submissions from people who are not a fit for the Sprint and who do not opt into the waitlist: about 18 months, then deleted.
- Triage submissions from Sprint candidates or waitlist opt-ins: while the relationship is active.
- Sprint enrollment and learning history: while your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for legal and reactivation purposes.
- Technical logs: about 12 months for security and troubleshooting.
5. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we have about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to send it to you in a portable format. Email admin@cogmyra.com to make a request. We will reply within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity first.
6. Security
We use standard technical and operational safeguards including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk continuously.

Full Privacy Policy
1. Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy describes how CogMyra collects, uses, retains, and protects information about users of beta.cogmyra.com, the V2 closed beta of the Praxis Core Math 5733 Retake Sprint.
CogMyra is operated by Michael F. Angotti as a sole proprietorship, with a principal place of business in Los Angeles, California, United States. The operator can be reached at admin@cogmyra.com.
This policy does not apply to any other CogMyra property. If you visit cogmyra.com, the V1 site has its own privacy notice that governs that property.
2. Who can use the service
CogMyra is designed for adults age 18 and older preparing for the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators Mathematics test (5733). The service is not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided personal information to us, please contact admin@cogmyra.com and we will delete the information.
The service is directed at learners located in the United States. It is not intended for residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom, or other regions with comprehensive data-protection regimes. If you choose to use the service from outside the United States, you accept that your data will be processed in the United States and that the privacy framework that applies to you may differ from the one in your home country.
3. Information we collect
We collect information in the following categories.
3.1 Information you provide through the Triage form. When you submit the Triage form, we collect the information you choose to enter, which may include your first name, email address, retake test date, prior preparation history, score on a past attempt if you choose to share it, confidence and anxiety self-ratings, and your responses to short reflection questions. We use this information to generate your Triage Report and, if you opt in, to add you to the founding-beta waitlist.
3.2 Information from Sprint enrollment. When you purchase the Sprint, our payment processor (Stripe) collects payment information directly. CogMyra does not store full card numbers, CVV codes, or bank account numbers on its servers. We do receive and store a Stripe customer identifier, the email address you provided at checkout, and the timestamp and status of your purchase, so that we can link your enrollment to your account and provide refunds if requested.
3.3 Learning interactions during the Sprint. While you use the Sprint, we collect your inputs to coaching prompts, our responses, and the structured outputs of each session (for example, your answers to diagnostic items, your work shown, and your self-reported confidence). We use this information to deliver personalized coaching, maintain learning continuity across sessions, and improve the Sprint over time.
3.4 Technical and usage data. We automatically collect basic technical information when you use the service. This includes your browser type, device type, operating system, IP address, approximate region (country and US state, not precise location), session timestamps, and error logs. We use this information for security monitoring, abuse prevention, debugging, and basic understanding of how the service is used.
3.5 Emotional and learning signals. CogMyra is designed to adapt coaching to how a learner is doing emotionally and cognitively, not just whether their answer is right. When you tell us you feel anxious, confused, frustrated, confident, or any similar signal, either explicitly through form fields or implicitly through your responses, we may capture that signal and use it to adjust the tone, pacing, and difficulty of subsequent coaching. We treat these signals as sensitive and do not use them for marketing, advertising, or any purpose other than improving the quality of your coaching experience.
3.6 Communications. If you email us, we keep your message and our reply so we can respond appropriately and maintain a record of the conversation.
We do not collect biometric data, precise geolocation, or government-issued identifiers, and we do not use facial recognition or any similar technologies.
4. How we use your information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes.
- To deliver the service: generating your Triage Report, providing access to the Sprint, delivering daily coaching content, and supporting you when you contact us.
- To personalize coaching: adapting tone, pacing, and content to your archetype, prior preparation, and the signals you share with us.
- To process payments and provide refunds: working with Stripe to charge your card, confirm enrollment, and issue refunds when requested.
- To communicate with you: sending transactional emails (Triage Report, welcome email, refund confirmations, account notices, daily Sprint content) and, only if you opt in, occasional product updates or waitlist communications.
- To keep the service safe and reliable: monitoring for fraud, abuse, security incidents, and technical errors.
- To improve the service: reviewing aggregated, de-identified patterns of use to understand what is working and where learners struggle. We do not perform automated profiling for decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
- To meet our legal obligations: keeping records required by tax, accounting, and consumer-protection laws.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not use your learning content to train AI models. See Section 6.
5. Sub-processors
We work with a small number of carefully chosen service providers to operate the platform. Each is bound by contract to use your information only to provide services to CogMyra.
- Supabase (database hosting and authentication): stores your Triage submission, Sprint enrollment record, magic-link tokens, and learning history. https://supabase.com/privacy
- Cloudflare (web hosting, edge functions, email routing): serves beta.cogmyra.com, runs our backend functions, and routes email to and from admin@cogmyra.com and hello@cogmyra.com. https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
- Stripe (payment processing): collects and processes your payment for the Sprint. https://stripe.com/privacy
- Anthropic (AI inference): processes your coaching inputs and generates the responses you see. See Section 6 for details on how Anthropic handles your data. https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy
- Resend (transactional email delivery): sends your Triage Report, welcome email, daily Sprint content, and other transactional messages. https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
We may add or change service providers as the product evolves. We will update this list when we do.
6. AI processing
CogMyra uses Anthropic’s commercial Claude API to generate Triage Reports and to power Sprint coaching. When you submit a Triage form or interact with the Sprint, your inputs are sent to Anthropic’s API for processing, and the response is sent back to you.
Per Anthropic’s commercial terms, inputs and outputs sent through their commercial API are not used to train Anthropic’s AI models by default, and CogMyra has not opted in to any training arrangement. Anthropic retains API inputs and outputs for a limited period for abuse monitoring purposes, governed by their own retention policy.
We do not use your learning content to train any AI model, our own or anyone else’s.
If you would like more detail on Anthropic’s handling of API data, see Anthropic’s documentation at https://support.anthropic.com.
7. Data retention
We keep data only as long as we have a clear reason to keep it.
- Triage submissions, off-ramp without waitlist opt-in: about 18 months from submission, then deleted. The retention window is set in our database at submission time.
- Triage submissions, Sprint candidates or waitlist opt-ins: retained while the relationship is active. If you ask us to delete your submission, we will do so promptly.
- Sprint enrollment records and learning history: retained while your account is active. After your account is closed or you request deletion, we retain a minimal record (purchase date, refund status, anonymized usage summary) for up to three years for tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes, then delete.
- Email correspondence: retained for as long as needed to resolve your question, then archived or deleted within a reasonable period.
- Technical and usage logs: retained for about 12 months for security monitoring and troubleshooting, then deleted or aggregated.
- Payment records: Stripe retains payment records on its own systems per its own policy. CogMyra retains the Stripe customer ID and minimal purchase metadata for the same period as Sprint enrollment records.
When the retention period ends, we delete or de-identify the data. De-identified data may be kept in aggregate form to understand patterns of use, but it cannot reasonably be linked back to you.
8. Your rights and choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal information.
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements (for example, we may need to keep minimal records to comply with tax or consumer-protection laws).
- Portability: request your personal information in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent: if we are processing your information based on your consent (for example, marketing communications), you can withdraw consent at any time.
- Opt out of marketing: click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or contact us at admin@cogmyra.com.
To exercise any of these rights, email admin@cogmyra.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request that involves personal information.
California residents. Although CogMyra is a small operation that does not meet the thresholds for full California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) coverage, we extend the substance of CCPA rights to California residents as a matter of policy. This includes the rights listed above and the right to non-discrimination if you exercise them.
9. Security
We protect your information with a combination of technical and operational safeguards.
- Encryption in transit (TLS) for all communications between your browser, our servers, and our sub-processors.
- Encryption at rest for data stored in Supabase and Stripe.
- Role-based access controls. The CogMyra operator is the only person with administrative access to the production database.
- Logging and monitoring of administrative actions.
- Regular review of access credentials and dependency security advisories.
No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law and as soon as reasonably possible.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
beta.cogmyra.com uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies, all of them functional.
- Authentication tokens (magic-link login): allow you to access your account after you receive and click a magic-link email.
- Supabase session cookies: maintain your authenticated session as you move between pages.
- CSRF and security cookies: protect against cross-site request forgery and similar attacks.
We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies. We may add lightweight, privacy-preserving analytics in the future for product improvement; if we do, we will update this policy.
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. If you do, parts of the service that depend on authentication will not work.
11. Marketing communications
If you opt into the founding-beta waitlist or otherwise consent to receive product updates, we may send you occasional emails about CogMyra. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email admin@cogmyra.com to opt out at any time.
Transactional emails (Triage Report, purchase confirmation, refund notice, daily Sprint content) are part of the service. If you do not want to receive them, please request deletion of your account.
12. International users
CogMyra is operated from the United States, and our service providers operate primarily in the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your home country.
We have not designed the service to comply with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the United Kingdom GDPR, or other comprehensive regional regimes, and we do not target or actively solicit users in those regions.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top, post the revised policy at beta.cogmyra.com/legal/privacy, and notify active users by email. Your continued use of the service after the Effective Date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
