CogMyra

Privacy and safety at a glance

CogMyra is built for learners as young as 13, so we keep what we collect small and give you control of it. Here is how it works today, in plain words.

What we collect

  • Your email address, so you can sign in. No passwords.
  • The name you want the Guide to use, which can be a nickname.
  • Your age group (13 to 17, or 18 and older). Not your birth date.
  • Your chats with the Guide, so you can come back to them.
  • How the product is used, such as which buttons are pressed, so we can make it better.

Who can see your chats

  • Teachers, schools, employers and other learners cannot read your chats, even if you join their class.
  • A small CogMyra team can review chats, with names and emails removed, to keep the Guide safe and to improve how it teaches.
  • Adults can choose to let their chats, with names and emails removed, be used in published learning research. It is off unless you turn it on.

What we never do

  • Sell your data.
  • Show you ads.
  • Use your chats to train AI models.

Your controls

  • Download everything we hold about your chats from your account page.
  • Delete a single chat, all chats, or your whole account, at any time.

Safety

  • CogMyra is for ages 13 and up. People who say they are under 13 cannot create an account.
  • If a learner mentions self-harm, abuse or danger, the Guide stops teaching, responds with care, and points them to people who can help, including the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline in the United States.
  • For learners under 18, the Guide keeps content age-appropriate and does not ask for personal details.
  • The Guide is an AI learning coach, not a counselor, and it says so.

How the Guide stays honest about schoolwork

  • It never writes a learner’s work or gives the final answer to their own problem. It explains ideas and works similar examples instead.
  • When a learner pushes for an answer, a separate system checks the reply before it is shown and rewrites it if needed.
  • Every other reply is checked right after it is sent, so we can measure and keep improving.

Who helps us run CogMyra

  • Supabase stores accounts and chats.
  • Cloudflare hosts the website.
  • Anthropic provides the AI models that write the Guide’s replies.
  • Resend sends some of our emails.
